Follow these Visitor tips about Maine’s Open Farm Day and what to expect:
- This annual tradition is an excellent way to learn about farming. There’s something for everyone! Plan a visit with friends and family, get inspired for your own farm or gardening goals, and have fun.
- You’ll visit working farms that raise animals, fruits, vegetables, or other crops. Farmers are excited to welcome guests to their businesses.
- Dress for the weather and for the outdoors. Comfy shoes, bug spray, hats, etc., are good choices for this rain-or-shine event.
- Open Farm Day is a great time to stock up on local farm goods! Remember to pack a cooler and a tote so you can bring home your favorite Open Farm Day goodies.
- Farms are busy places. Please stay on marked paths, and areas open to guests. Look for signage. Take your time driving into and out of areas, and be mindful of your surroundings.
- Use the list below to find a farm that will be open for visitors.
- Before you visit, follow farms on social media or visit their websites to learn a bit more about the hosts and to stay connected year-round!

- There are approximately 90 farms participating, and sites to visit in all 16 counties. 23 sites are open on Saturday.

- Key: 🟡 Farms with yellow dots are open on Sunday, July 27, 2025. 🔵Farms with blue dots are open Saturday, July 26, 2025. 🟢 Farms with green dots are open both Saturday, July 26, 2025 and Sunday, July 27, 2025.
