We raise pigs in the woods and chickens and turkeys on pasture. All of our pigs are born here on the farm. If you ask, we can probably even tell you your pigs name. We give them the best pig life possible and they are all processed here in Maine. We have fenced about 24 acres so that they have plenty of room to roam and just be pigs. They are smart, funny and loving and deserve a happy dignified life even if it is only a short life. It’s not just that happy critters taste better, we believe it’s the right way to treat them, plain & simple.
We pasture raise a limited number of Cornish Crosses during the spring and summer, (GMO free feed). We free-range chickens of various breeds for eggs. We have Speckled Sussex, Black Australorp, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rock, and others along with and a few mixed breeds hatched here on our farm.
Find us at the Farmer's Markets or make arrangements for an on-farm pickup or schedule a delivery. We sell by the pound or help you stock your freezer with a whole or half hog!
