As the Landowner Outreach Forester for the Maine Forest Service, I am available by phone or e-mail to help answer questions about woodland stewardship, working with consulting foresters, developing forest management plans, the Tree Growth Tax Law, and and many other forest and woods related questions. I can direct folks to their local MFS District Forester, who can meet them on their land for a "walk and talk" site visit. I also administer the WoodsWISE Incentives program, which provides partial financial assistance for woodland owners to have a Maine licensed forester develop a Woodland Resource Action Plan for their woods.
