Maine’s Wild Blueberry Weekend is back for its sixth year on August 1 and 2.
Wild Blueberry Weekend, organized by the Wild Blueberry Commission of Maine, is an annual statewide celebration held during the first full weekend of August in honor of Maine’s wild blueberry harvest. All are invited to experience and celebrate the harvest firsthand.
Across the state, farms and participating businesses will open their doors to offer fresh berry picking, tours, demonstrations, children’s activities, special menu items, and more.
Maine is the wild blueberry capital of the United States, producing nearly 100 percent of the country’s commercial wild blueberry crop across more than 500 farms and 40,000 acres. The industry contributes $361 million to the state’s economy annually.

Across Maine, dozens of working farms, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, bakeries, and local businesses open their doors with something to offer. Thousands of people join the celebration season after season.
Plan your visit and find participating farms and businesses at the Wild Blueberry Commission’s website. Most farm experiences are free to attend; food, drink, and products are sold by individual participants.
